Beautiful, self aware, thought provoking, I can't recommend this book enough.
I read this while trying to write an honest artist statement without institutional artspeak and found Colby's honesty and form to be a helpful lens to think through. While I examined my own practice / patterns / compulsions, I observed her do the same quite lucidly and so articulately. The poem that comprises the first 65ish pages is also everything I've ever wanted in a poem.
